10 Emergency Beds Unveiled For Minnesota 15-19 Year Old Homeless Youth, Filling Gap For Duluth, MN Rapid Rehousing Strategy

They held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new emergency shelter on Monday. Once all the paperwork is in order, Life House hopes to be sheltering teens by the end of October.  “We don’t want our youth to be left out, or forgotten,” Life House’s Margie Nelson said. “We want to get them off the streets as quickly as possible. On any given night, there’s a hundred young people outside in Duluth, and we want to fix that, every little bit we can.”  The new shelter is called “The Loft.” It will be used to house teens ages 15 to 19 years old.
